  9. What lesson has India learnt from butchary of Jagmohan in Kashmir on 21 January, 1990 killing 700 people?

    August 20, 2010, 4:56 pm
On 19 th January, then chief minister Farooque Abdullah resigned on appointment of Jagmohan as governor of state of RSS brand anti - Muslim communal of the kind of Punjabis of 1947 type saying he couldn't work with such a man who repetedly violated state constitution & worked arbitrarily like a dictator, Chief Martial Law Administrator or General Dyer. Jagmohan retaliated by amassing 5,00,000 Indian army in Kashmir Valley on emergency basis, first in history after 1947 making that a Military Colony. On 21 st January, 1990, a big unarmed funeral procession of a leader was passing through Lal Chowk area (downtown area like Cannaugh Place at New Delhi) in Srinagar chanting slogans like "We want freedom, freedom" , "We want Plebiscite, Plebiscite" & " We want Nizame Mustafa(Islamic rule)". Nizam means system & Mustafa is another name of Prophet Muhammed(saww). There was nothing objectionable(Indian media wrote) but Jagmohan ordered indiscriminate firing on that killing at least 700 people at the peak of winter season under mild chilling snowfall of Kashmir & imposed curfew for many days. All reporters, journalists & press correspondents were arrested by military, their tapes, notes & cameras were snatched, broken or forefeited, imprisoned in a hotel & were expelled out of Kashmir with great insults. Subhash Chakravarty of BBC was beaten mercilessly & his camera was broken to pieces. Sri Sharma of Sunday weekly from Calcutta said on BBC as, " It is a 100 % REVOLUTION by 100 % people's support undoubtedly demanding the legitimate international right of self determination given by UNSC, nothing objectionable at all, doesn't deserve such a treatment. He further said that entire area from Maisooma to Lal Chowk(two kilometere length) was full with dead bodies on the ground. " Every Indian & international journalist reported that not less than 700 people were killed, mostly young boys & bullets piercing their chests. Newspapers too reported so. Next day, Jagmohan's press release said, " Only 35 persons have been killed." The very next day, most of INDIAN journalists modified their figure to 35 to prove their PATRIOTISM(Oh professional reporting !). "Frontline" from Madras, somehow showed photographs of scores of shoes lying on the roads from Maisooma to Lal Chowk. None knows so far where army trucks threw those dead bodies (such a big insult). Next order was the search operation by removing people out of their houses for hours putting them under open sky during snowfall causing frost bites, maiming & losses of many lives under shadow of guns of military. Looting of valuables & harassments of ladies inside the houses by army were reported in very large numbers. Those became orders of days. On 25 th Jan., 1990 a Pakistani battalian entered Kashmir very quickly, killed five I A F officers & many soldiers at various places & left safely, completely undetected by Indian army till Mirza Aslam Baig said about that on 22 nd Sept 1998 hinting exposure of weakness of Indian army that what can happen if such forces are sent quickly in large numbers everywhere in the valley in exigencies. He did say that Pakistan was not training Kashmiris rather, if needs arose, he could have sent Pakistani forces to do ANYTHING quickly at will as the battalion did, meaning being very clear. Indian establishment continued same policy of oppression, repression, suppression, subjugation & bludgeoning intio sibmission having no other positive policy for solution since then but there is not an iota of change in people's mood showing their strong stand about the so called legitimate right of self determination given by UNO(principled stand as said by them) despite sacrificing 7,00,000 precious lives for that after eaxctly 20 years today. Jagmohan told then Minister for Kashmir Affairs, George Fernandes(who said on BBC) that by military action when he would kill 3-4 lakh ( lakh = 1,00,000) saale harami ( Muslims), everything would be silent & dead. Even after 20 years, India is standing on the same place in Kashmir matter b coz of belligerent, adamant & intransigent attitude. Did she learn any lesson in last 20 years ? Can people sacrifice their basic right with time & heavy loss of life for surrendering to slavery( they say so) ? Pakistan's former army chief Aslam Baig sent those commandoes to Kashmir in the same manner as Indian ones were sent in Sindh from 1982 to 1998, proved beyond question. He sent for retaliation to teach India a lesson & send a clear message that 3 million Mukti Bahini terrorists sent by India during 1966 -1971 period was a great mistake & cannot be repeated. Pundits' population in Kashmir in 1990 was only 80,000. More people die in road accidents than them in India as said by Indira Gandhi to them in 1984(Sunday Mail, New delhi). India did covert terrorist operations in Sindh from 1982 to 1998 as admitted by journalist Praveen Swamy & former RAW chief Anand Kumar Verma on BBC RADIO on 12 December, 2009 at 8.15 pm. Praful Bidwai too presented proofs many times. Atal Bihari Vajpayee sai in mid February 1990 as , " India must retaliate Pak's actions in Punjab & Kashmir by INCREASING her similar actions in Sindh MORE & MORE" as reported in Indian Express too. Read archives. What India did by raising Mukti Bahini on a "foreign soil", NOT DISPUTED TERRITORY like KASHMIR, by MILITARILY interfering INTERNAL MATTER of a foreighn nation(by VIOLATING INTERNATIONAL LAW) is a BIGGER CRIME than interfering in a disputed territory, NOT a part of India(UNSC RES. dt. 5 Jan, 1949. Know LEGAL facts finely before arguing absurdly.I'm not a Pakistani but visited Kashmir's every point after 1990 much more than any Indian without security. To SD : In 1947, RSS< H. Mahasabha , Akali goondas , Dogra army & Indian army killed 5,00,000 Muslims in Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Rajauri & Poonch & pushed same number of them to Pakistani Punjab by force. They must return as per para 6 of UNSC resolution dated 5 January, 1949, before PLEBISCITE(Kashmir Times). In August, 1965, before war, Indian army expelled 1,36,000 Muslims of Batmaloo locality of Srinagar & sent to Azad Kashmir(NEW YORK TIMES dt 15 August, 1965). All those MUST come back to their houses much befor Pundits. Pundits MUST SUPPORT for them bu why don't they do so ? Will you not support ? Tell honestly & modify your BIASED faulty answer. To SD : Be to the point & never divert attention from Central point by linking irrelevant things. Your sources are bogus , prepared in VHP headquarters. Why is never any armed freedom struggle in Azad Kashmir & why only in Indian held part only ? Why are BLACK DAYS celebrated in ENTIRE Kashmir on 26 th Jan, 13 th July(Martyres Day), 15 th August, 27 th October(date of Indian army, OFFICIALLY illegally landing Srinagar airport in 1947& occupying Kashmir Valley, already revolted against India & Maharaja from July, 1947 itself) every year ? Read books of Premnath Bazaz(Pundit), Prof Alastair Lamb, Stanley Wolpert, Patric French & Victoria Scofield on Kashmir. Victoria's book : Kashmir in Conflict (Amazon Books) is a wonder book to demolish all your claims. India's Patiala Sikh army landed Srinagar on 17 th October 1847, 5 days before so calle irregular Tribal invasion on 22 nd October , 1947. Obviously, India was the aggressor in the state. What about actions in Jammu to Poonch ?
